It is acceptable to remove a member of a society or group if he or she is thought to be inferior to others. My opinion hasn't changed on this statement because when I first heard about this quote because I think that a society needs a variety of different people with different skills. If most people in the society were higher class or leaders, and there were also middle class people you wouldn't take them out of your group. In the future you may need them. Thats why I think that a variety of different people with different skills would be a better society as a society where everything is the same.

I think that there is no right answer for the question "what is the good life?" The good life is not about how happy you are or how great your family is. A good life is what you make out of it. You decide what makes your life good. You can make it the way you want it to be. It might be that a good life is one that is full of happiness and wealth or love. There is no right or wrong answer to what is a good life because what is good is different for different people. Everyone has their own unique life and they should believe that its the good life. I know my life is good when I'm happy and enjoying myself.

The protagonist in my book is 15 year old Tessa. Tessa is in a comma and is anti social. She is in a comma because of an accident in gym class. While Tessa is in the comma she believes that she is dead and in heaven which appears to her as her hometown mall. She has an one older brother named Matt. Tessa doesn't have a best friend or any friends at all. When she was little she hanged out with her neighbor Naomi who convinced Tessa to smoke a cigarette at the age of 10 "She hands me the cigarette, and I put it in my mouth and breathe in" . Both of Tessa's parents work at her hometown mall. Tessa has visions of a memory that she had at a store at her hometown mall while she is in the comma. "I curl up on a bench in front of Cinnabon and crash." "I sleep the dreamless sleep of the dead" " Am I dreaming again, or is the part of where I am lying in a hospital bed the dream, and is this really Heaven" These are all quotes where Tessa wonders if she is really in a dream or not?

"I know the girl on the floor, the one with her neck bent all weird, I know the girl is me.But I'm a too busy soaring toward heaven to care. And the thing that is most surprising the thing you might not know ,is that in the right light, Heaven looks a lot like the mall."
I think that this passage of the book I am reading (Heaven looks a lot like the mall) best describes the Journey in the book. 16 year old Tessa is in a coma because of a gym accident. While Tessa is in a coma she finds herself in heaven (or what she thinks is heaven) which happens to bear a striking resemblance to her hometown mall. In each they explain a memory or a vision that Tessa had at her hometown from when she was 3 to 16. Each paragraph or each memory involves a small conflict that is the journey of Tessa at the mall.

Over the time that I have been working on my wiki I have been able to learn about futuristic technology. Who knew that this year 2010 we have that they are already designing holograms on iphones. I have currently been working on the introduction to the future. I have also started working on how we will communicate in the future. I have 2 partners Laarnie and Pooja. Laarnie is in Texas and Pooja is in Mrs. Narsiman IT class. Laarnie has written several emails, but they have nothing to do with wiki yet. I understand that Laarnie may have some difficulty with the wiki. Pooja has added a few you tube vidoes about phones, hologramsa and cars. I think have also added a few pictures and copied all the sources on to MLA formatting. One thing that we need to work on is adding more information to our Wiki questions. I hope that in the next few days Laarnie will help finish our wiki.

Over the 3 week break my family and I visited Melaka a port on the west coast of Malaysia. This was not the first time that I had been to Melaka, during 5th grade we traveled there for an over night field trip. We were staying at the Hotel Puri which was located three blocks from Jonker street. It seemed that in every house or museum we visited including our hotel there was always a sky roof or a clearing in the middle of the living room. This happened to be because of Chinese feng shui. According to Feng Shui a house must have both wind and water so all these houses had indoor courtyards open to the sky.
The whole area was divided into 2 different parts: the old heritage town and the new city we went to both. Our transportation was either a rickshaw a traditional bicycle or our own feet. The roads were too busy for us to drive. My family and I walked all the way to an old church located on top of a very high hill. Churches were built on hills to be closer to god. The church was built in 1700. It was grey and black with tomb stones inside it, torn apart almost. While we walked down from the church we entered the dutch grave yard that had more than 3o graves which were bigger than a king size bed. The graves were cracked and covered in moss. 45 years was considered old in that time so lots of people died in their twenty's. The next day my family and I visited the Portuguese ship/ museum. The ship was huge . Who knew that when a ship was at sea three quarters of the ship was under water? Inside the ship there was an iron chest, granite cannon balls, and guns and cannons from the 1800. The ship was divided into three floors the deck and the crews headquarters. This ship would go to different ports trading spices and cargo.
The journey back to the hotel was long and hot. Every part of melaka was different in some areas all you could see was Chinese characters on old houses ( Melaka's china town) other parts you could see wind mills and dutch houses. We passed the smelly lake. The odor was so strong you could smell it 50 meters away. The lake was a murky green occasionally we would see a boat tour on the lake. As we passed our hotel we stopped for fire wood pizza. As each pizza arrived I could smell the strong aroma of the herbs. Almost all resturants were inside houses. Houses in Melaka were huge. Looking from the front of the house everything seemed so small. As we walked back to our hotel to check out I knew this was trip that I wasn't going to forget.
